Quilt Challenge for 2025-2026
This is How I Roll Quilt Challenge
The challenge this year will be left to chance! The roll of the dice will set the stage for what blocks and colors you must use and is an exciting way to create a quilt by adding a twist to luck. The objective is to let your creativity and imagination run wild!
How does this challenge work? You will roll TWO DICE two times.
- First, roll TWO DICE to find out which two blocks you must use!
- Second, roll TWO DICE to find out which two colors you must use!
Guidelines for this year’s challenge….1. The Quilt can be any size.2. The quilt is to be inspired by the 2 blocks and 2 colors determined by your roll of the dice. Any other design elements may be used. Be motivated and imaginative in your interpretation.3. Your Quilt can be traditional or art… pieced, appliqued, embroidered… mixed or painted on fabric.4. You may add up to an additional three (3) colors.5. You must incorporate 2 different borders (pieced, appliqued, embroidered or combination) on your quilt.6. Quilt must be completely finished: quilted (not tied), bound and labeled.7. Completed Quilts will be turned in at the April 2026 meeting for viewers’ choice judging at our May 2026 meeting.8. Prizes will be given for the top 3 viewers’ choice picks.9. Cost is $5.00 to enter so prizes can be awarded.
