Bird of a Feather Quilt Challenge
Don’t let this year’s challenge fly away! Be prepared to take flight on the whimsical!
Think of birds wearing fancy hats. Perhaps, there are birds singing on a wire being inspired by bright ideas and a heavy dose of pure fun!!
It’s time to dust off your imagination, think outside the box and see just how high your creativity can soar!
Guidelines for this year’s challenge….1. The embroidered birds of a feather block you chose at the time you signed up must be incorporated in your quilt and visible on the front- The embroidered block can be reshaped to fit your project- Additional birds can be added to your quilt design2. You must make a flange binding. If you are unfamiliar with this technique, you can look up instructions on the internet.3. The Quilt can be any size. Your Quilt can be traditional or art… pieced, appliqued, embroidered, mixed technique or painted on fabric.4. Quilt must be completely finished. Quilted (not tied), bound and labeled.5. Completed Quilts will be turned in at the April 2027 meeting for viewers’ choice judging at our May 2027 meeting.6. Prizes will be given for the top 3 viewers’ choice picks.7. Cost is $5.00 to enter so prizes can be awarded.
