This year’s challenge is to embrace all things related to Water! The goal is to summon your creativity and imagination! Imagine all the possibilities. Your quilt can look like the ocean, river, lake or pool. It can be by, under or over the water; indoors or outdoors; real, imagined or whimsical. Your thoughts can wander to the beach, garden, raindrops, waves, mermaids, nautical. Perhaps a fabric, panel or block speaks to you.
There are no limits on how Water can be represented.
Show and tell us in a quilt!
Make a Quilt not to exceed 45” x 45” in size. This quilt should be inspired by WATER. Be motivated and imaginative in your interpretation. Is it a Quilt block like Storm at Sea, a land/ seascape, etc.
Your Quilt can be traditional or art, pieced, appliqued, mixed or painted on fabric.
You must use the blue fat quarter given at sign up on the front of your quilt plus you must use at least one circle shape.
Quilt must be completely finished. Quilted (not tied), bound and labeled.
Completed Quilts will be turned in at the April 2023 meeting for viewers’ choice judging at our May 2023 meeting.
