Shelter Donations

Our guild collects various items throughout the year for organizations such as the Women’s Shelter, a house run by Catholic Charities to shelter women fleeing from domestic violence. We also collect sample or personal sizes of health and beauty items (such as the hotel soaps we bring home and keep in a drawer!) We give these to groups such as the Open Door Mission, the Siena-Francis House, and/or the Child Saving Institute. Amy Kragnes is our Coordinator again this year!

Quilt Registrar

Cottonwood has a quilt registrar who will record a history of your full-size quilting accomplishments. The quilt should be completed during this quilting year. Requirements for registration are: The maker must be a member of our guild. The quilt must be bed-sized (twin or larger). The quilt may be made by more than one person. The quilt may be quilted (hand or machine) by another person.

Small Groups

Small Groups are when 3 or more members gather informally on a regular basis to work on individual or group projects. Since members usually have different levels of experience, they share advice, knowledge and good times as well as the desire for more quilting time.

Many Cottonwood members are currently involved in such a group. Some groups are at capacity, while others are accepting additional members.

If you would like to join an existing group or start one of your own, please contact Ann Martin at 402-289-1738 or at abmartin@yahoo.com.
